When educating children, expecting too much from them or giving them tasks inappropriate for their age can make them experience emotions that are difficult to get used to.
Simplicity is the key to educating children

Educating children has changed a lot over the years. Now there are many more choices and available resources that contribute to open perspectives for a more promising future.

Problems that develop in childhood

With so many things in surplus right now,  children have begun to develop problems that until now only affected adults. Stress, depression and difficulty concentrating are just some of the obstacles that are becoming more prevalent in younger children.

Are the children to blame for this? Are we educating children properly? The truth is that this question is not about how we should raise our children. But how can we slowly give them what is ahead of them.

You have probably heard a child say that they do not have time. Because they are involved in 3 leisure activities and several other things that only “limit” their childhood.

Childhood is a time to be lived and enjoyed. Just like with many other parts of life. Childhood is also very important, because this is when most of the children’s psychological development takes place.

If children become overwhelmed and begin to develop symptoms of stress and depression. Can they develop mental disorders or behavioral disorders in not too long.

When “a lot” becomes “too much”

Children today are “safe”. Their only worries are arguing with their parents, going to school, and working on a list of activities they are involved in.

But what is happening? If they are “safe” and living “well,” why do they experience so many problems? Children have learned to be careful: many of them have even lost the innate curiosity that no one should ever lose.

The big problem is that they are exposed to large streams of information that are difficult to process. It’s even difficult for us. This is why being exposed to so many stimuli creates as much stress  as they are unable to tolerate.

All this causes the children to grow up fast, to go through their various stages without enjoying them. They do not live their childhood as they should. Which can lead to them having serious problems that are difficult to solve later.

The basis of profit

To summarize, one can say that this surplus is based on 4 basic things that create all these problems of educating children:

  • Too many possessions: Our grandparents barely had anything more than clothes, and with a little luck, a toy. But now the children have everything, which stops them from appreciating things as they should.
  • Too much information: The fact that they are involved in more than one extra activity that occupies a significant amount of their time. They need to focus on their basic subjects and then do well in other complementary activities or subjects. All this information saturates the children, and it makes them unable to process the information properly.
  • Too many options: There are so many opportunities that insecurity and stress begin to bubble up in young children. What should they choose? Where should they go? These are questions they have to deal with – not just as children, but also for the rest of their lives.
  • Too fast: Time goes by too fast, which is why you should make the most of it. But children are hardly aware of the time. This is a good thing, because they can enjoy it more. The big problem is that we do not let them do it. We prevent them from enjoying the moment as it should be enjoyed.

To educate children

Educating children means that parents must be responsible. But before you look at all the options or saturate young children with all this and expose them to the stress older people feel. Is it important that you let them live.

Childhood can only be lived once. It is a time to enjoy, where one can build friendships and grow. But much less aggressive in future generations. If you are already suffering from stress, anxiety and depression from an early age, what will happen when you grow old?
